Let’s hope this game gets a couple of updates as it is very good and deserves to be improved – just a bit – rather than left as it is. More stats would be wonderful, of course. I have issues with some of the interface quirks and I believe the game absolutely needs highscores and stats to be recorded, if only for your personal best session to date. I don’t mind that it suits the game and gives you less to focus on which makes the game feel fun and casual rather than a confusing grind. Tapping an equipped item or your current stats should NOT cause the character to walk to where you just tapped – this again feels unpolished and in need of a tweak.Īrcadelife verdict: The game is loads of fun, although some may find the combat a little bit simplistic.

The tap-to-swap and tap-to-buy mechanism feels unpolished and often unfriendly. Personally, I think a game like this NEEDS those things because of what it is and the fact that you really do only get 1 life per game. The bad news: No recorded high score or statistics of any kind. Loads of loot, with set bonuses, multiple enchantments, etc. Tap/action kind of gameplay rather than turn-based, which I think will appeal to a wider audience. The good news: Instantly fun and accessible. You will like this if you enjoy: Action RPG style games. Loot, boss fights, permanent death.ġ0 word review: Very entertaining game with no recorded stats or high scores. Rogue amps are more powerful and tend by their design to be more linear sounding, as specially in the ultralinear mode, so the triode mode tends of soften the edge a bit and bring a more tube like experience to the party.10 word description: Rogue style action dungeon crawler. This is really not a drawback, because class A/B amplifier design lends itself to the ultralinear mode and lower power amps are by their nature a bit more tube sounding in the first place. For that reason, many of these lower powered amps run in the ultraliner mode only. Those that do often have bass that is too sloppy. Since running in the triode mode reduces the power by half, many lower power tube amps with power in the 30-Watt range just don't have sufficient power or power supplies to run in the ultralinear mode. Rogue amps are particularly nice because they have large power supplies and a lot of power. But then I listen to a lot of Jazz, Acoustic and Vocals. I mostly run the M-150's in the triode mode. I also had a KT120 CM I and have a pair of M-150 monoblocks with KT88's. Edit: the triode vs ultralinear switch is a nice touch as well, I've found myself gravitating towards triode mode, there's just a touch more depth in that mode, but it is a subtle change, at least on my system.Ĭlick to expand.I have a KT88 Stereo 90.

It's a long term keeper for me, don't have any plans to change anytime soon. My previous amp was a Parasound Halo Int, and the ST100 surpasses it in sound quality, most noticeable in detail retrieval and resolution of treble (ride cymbals just sound natural, with no tizz). Rich, smooth, effortless, detailed, and utterly non - fatiguing. Currently I have NOS Mullard long plates as gain. My favorite combos have been NOS RCA BP 12Ax7 as gain tubes, Brimar long plates as drivers. Although I'd agree that it isn't a "lush" sounding amp per se, it can be seasoned to one's liking by tube rolling and responds well to that. I've had the ST100 (driven by an RP7 pre) since ~ March of 2019. +1 on what Avanti1960 noted about the Stereo 100, don't have much to add.
